Terms of service

These terms govern your use of the DocMaker service ("DocMaker", "the service"), operated by Nordic Tender ApS, a company registered in Denmark ("we", "us", "Nordic Tender"). By creating an account or otherwise using DocMaker you enter into a binding agreement with Nordic Tender ApS.

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using DocMaker you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these terms. If you are using DocMaker on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. The service

DocMaker provides browser-based and cloud-assisted tools to convert, edit, compress, merge, split and electronically sign documents, subject to the limits of your plan. We may add, change or remove features over time.

3. Accounts and acceptable use

You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information, for keeping your credentials confidential, and for all activity under your account. You agree to use DocMaker only with documents you own or have explicit permission to modify (this is especially important for the Unlock PDF, Remove Watermark and eSign tools). You must not: (a) violate any law; (b) infringe intellectual property or privacy rights; (c) upload malware or attempt to interfere with the security or integrity of the service; (d) scrape, reverse engineer or resell the service; or (e) use the service to harm others.

4. Intellectual property

DocMaker and all related software, documentation, branding and content are owned by Nordic Tender ApS or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the service in accordance with these terms and your selected plan. You retain all rights in the documents you upload; you grant us a limited licence to host and process them solely to provide the service.

5. Payment, subscriptions and refunds

Paid plans are sold and fulfilled by our reseller Paddle (see clause 6). Subscriptions renew automatically each billing cycle (monthly or yearly) at the then-current price until cancelled. You can cancel or change your plan at any time from your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you retain access until then. Upgrades and downgrades are pro-rated immediately. Fees are exclusive of taxes where applicable; Paddle calculates and collects sales tax / VAT based on your billing location. Refund requests are handled in accordance with our Refund policy and Paddle's Buyer Terms.

6. Paddle as Merchant of Record

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle's Buyer Terms.

7. Service availability and warranties

We work hard to keep DocMaker fast and online, but no service can guarantee 100% uptime. The service is provided "as is" and, to the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Plan accordingly for time-sensitive work.

8. eSignatures

DocMaker offers a simple electronic signature. It is not a qualified or certified e-signature service — pair it with a dedicated provider when you need full legal weight under eIDAS or equivalent regimes.

9. Suspension and termination

You may stop using DocMaker at any time and delete your account from your settings. We may suspend or terminate your access (in whole or in part) if you materially breach these terms, fail to pay fees when due, create security or fraud risk, or repeatedly violate our policies. We will give reasonable notice where practical. On termination, your right to use the service ends; you may export your data during a reasonable wind-down window, after which it will be deleted in line with our Privacy policy.

10. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the service is limited to the fees you paid to Paddle for DocMaker in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data or goodwill. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Denmark, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Danish courts, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer rights you may have in your country of residence.
